Katherine Tillotson grew up in Minnesota surrounded by lakes and trees. Currently, she lives in a house on a hill in San Francisco with her husband and two dogs.  Her studio is in a cozy corner of the house, a space filled with brushes and bottles, scraps of paper and paints. The dogs, Sookie and Chi, nap and watch out the window for visitors, then give a nudge with their cold black noses in the late afternoon when it is time for a walk. Katherine has illustrated a number of picture books, including All the Water in the World by George Ella Lyon, which was an ALA Notable Book. It’s Picture Day Today!, When the Library Lights Go Out, and Shoe Dog, all by Megan McDonald. Most recently she illustrated All Ears All Eyes by Richard Jackson.
