Ada Lovelace (English, 1815-1852) had a brilliant imagination and a passion for science, math, and machines. She was also a mother of three and the daughter of poet Lord Byron and Lady Byron, an amateur mathematician. Ada is known today as the world's first computer programmer.
I have recently illustrated a children's picture book about Ada and it comes out next month from Simon & Schuster.
